Although drilling needs large quantities of drilling fluid, or mud, requiring delivery and removal, we invest in equipment to mix, recycle and dewater muds on site to the highest practical standards in the UK. While reducing the quantity of solids for final disposal and returning cleaned water to sewers or water courses, we have also extended our trials of special drilling muds, which biodegrade in landfill.
