Expandit Manufacturing

Perco manufactures the Expandit hydraulic pipe bursting system. It is a multi component tailor made solution for replacing old or worn out sewer pipes. Equipment can be supplied in full or in part sets. We also provide a worldwide spare parts service.

A typical Expandit equipment set to install 9" (225mm), 12" (300mm) and 18" (450mm) diameter pipes comprises the following components:

Where the various parts are used:

Head	This is the main component of the system. The head breaks and displaces the old pipe
PP30	The power pack delivers the hydraulic power to the system
Linear Winch	The linear winch guides the head through the existing pipe to ensure radial expansion
Jacking Ram	The jacking ram pushes the head and pipe string forwards
Control Panel	The control panels regulate the hydraulic flow to the head, ram and winch and control all movement
Winch Chain	This links the linear winch to the front of the head
Connection Kit	The connection kit is used to join the rear of the head to the pipe string and hydraulic hoses
Hydraulic Hoses	The hoses deliver the hydraulic fluid from the power pack to the system
Bridle Hoses	The bridles connect the linear winch to the control panel
Shield	The shield protects the rear of the head, and the hose connections to the head
