Where gravity sewers are in generally good structural condition, but have suffered localised cracking or damage, root infestation or where a redundant lateral needs to be closed off, EPROS patch lining provides a quick, cost-effective and long terms sewer renovation solution.
Working from existing manholes, the sewer is inspected and cleaned to remove any debris or obstructions and any tree root infestation is removed. The EPROS patch liner system comprises of a silicate resin which is then applied to a fibreglass or polyester matting.
The resin impregnated matting is then wrapped around an inflatable packer which is inserted into the sewer pipe and winched into position and inflated to form a tight fit against the part of the sewer to be repaired. Once in place, the packer is inflated whilst the resin impregnated liner is ambiently cured. After curing, the packer is deflated and removed, leaving the liner in place over the affected area.
